Freezer Staples

I have touched on fridge staples and pantry staples that we keep on hand to help us build healthy meals - the finally piece of that puzzle is Freezer Staples. This is a list of items we like to have to help us round out balanced meals - freezer items are always a great way to keep items on hand that are out of season but still are nutritious and delicious! To save me from having to state it with every item, just assume we always buy organic unless otherwise stated.

Vegetables:

peas
corn
edamame
chopped spinach
chopped kale

Fruit:

wild blueberries
whole strawberries
bananas
mangos
apple sauce

Other:

Sprouted grain wraps
Squirrelly Bread
ice cubes

As an extra add on, make sure you have lots of freezable storage containers on hand so that you are always able to cook in bulk and freeze the left overs for a future meal!
